Why we exist
Online dating is the dominant way people meet. It’s also the worst-designed feedback loop in software: you swipe, you get ignored, and you have almost no idea why. The bottom 50% of men on Hinge receive only 4.3% of matches, and most of them never learn which photo is the problem, which prompt reads as try-hard, or whether their opener is too flat.
Friends give biased feedback. AI tools produce generic advice that reads the same for everyone. Dating coaches cost $500 to $2,000+ for programs most people don’t need. What was missing was the simplest thing: an honest second opinion from a real person in your target dating demographic, priced for a single review.
That’s what we built. The first version launched in 2024 under the name ReviewMyHinge. It worked. Users who applied reviewer feedback reported more matches, better conversations, and fewer profile-related anxieties. Reviewers including influencers, coaches, and everyday experts found a side income stream that used skills they already had.
