Match won’t show your profile until three photos and your Summary pass its rules. In the US, its search then reads your words.
Match only shows your profile once it has three photos, one of them a clear face, and an approved Summary. A Match profile review on RMH checks those first, then your prompts, and a vetted reviewer tells you what to change. Written and video reviews take two to three business days, live calls are booked with the reviewer, and prices run from $20 to $150.

“Angela gave me a detailed and thoughtful review of my profile. It felt like she actually took the time to go through everything instead of rushing through it or giving generic advice. She explained what she liked, what she thought I should change, and gave specific suggestions for my photos, prompts, and overall profile. I’ve already made several changes based on her feedback and feel like the review was definitely helpful.”
Match is for people looking for something serious, and it holds profiles to a few rules. You can add up to six photos, and you need at least three, one of them clearly showing your face, to be visible at all (Match help (opens in a new tab)). Your primary photo has to show only you (Match help (opens in a new tab)), and in search results Match usually shows a smaller section around your face (Match help (opens in a new tab)). Nothing goes live until your Summary is complete and approved (Match help (opens in a new tab)).
The words matter more than they used to. In the US, Match’s AI search reads bios and prompt responses to answer what members type (Match help (opens in a new tab)), and Match suggests picking three Core Values (Match help (opens in a new tab)). If Expanded Discovery & Interaction is on, Match can also show your profile on other Match Group apps, and you can switch it off in settings (Match help (opens in a new tab)).
The short version
Upload at least three photos, the first a clear one of only you.
Check your primary photo still works cropped close.
Write a Summary with words people actually search for.
Pick Core Values your Summary already backs up.
What to fix on Match
RMH’s 2026 report doesn’t break out Match, so these come from how the app works and from Match’s own advice.
1
Fewer than three photos
Under three photos, or without one that clearly shows your face, Match doesn’t show your profile. Nobody can like a profile Match isn’t showing.
Try this
Add three or more recent photos, at least one a clear face photo of only you, and keep the rest varied enough to say something.
2
The primary photo falls apart when cropped
In search, Match usually shows a smaller section of your primary photo around your face, and a face that’s too small may not qualify as a primary photo at all.
Try this
Match’s own advice is to “use a good headshot or a shot of your head and shoulders” and not to “wear sunglasses or a hat” (Match help (opens in a new tab)). Use one for the primary photo and put the wide shots in slots two to six.
Skip
Sunglasses
A hat
Other people in the primary photo
3
The Summary is too vague to find
In the US, Match’s AI search reads bios and prompt responses to answer what members type. “I love to laugh and travel” turns up for everyone who searches “travel”, next to half the site.
Try this
Use the specific words someone might search for, like your neighborhood or the sport you actually play. Specific words are also easier to reply to.
4
Core Values chosen at random
Core Values sit on your profile as a shorthand for what you care about. Picking three because the app asked you to tells a match little.
Try this
Pick three your Summary already shows. If a value isn’t there, write it in or pick another.
What a Match review on RMH looks like
Send screenshots of your profile in the RMH app, including your Summary and prompts, and pick a format. The reviewer starts with what decides whether Match shows you at all, the photo count, the primary photo and the Summary.
You choose the reviewer. Each profile on the reviewer marketplace shows their price, their specialty and what past customers wrote. Written and video reviews come back in two to three business days, and live calls are booked with the reviewer.
Written review
$20–$50
Video review
$49–$100
Live 1-on-1 call
$70–$150
Also on RMH
Mock Chat is 24 hours of texting practice with a reviewer. Mock Date is a live 30-minute practice date on video.
Match Profile Review: questions people ask first
What is a Match profile review?
+
Feedback on your Match.com profile from someone other than you. On RMH a vetted reviewer goes through your photos, Summary, prompts and Core Values and tells you what reads well and what to change.
How does a Match profile review on RMH work?
+
Pick a reviewer on the RMH marketplace, send screenshots of your Match profile in the RMH app, and choose a written review, a video review or a live 1-on-1 call. Written and video reviews come back in two to three business days, and live calls are booked with the reviewer.
How much does a Match profile review cost?
+
Each reviewer sets their own price. Written reviews run about $20 to $50, video reviews $49 to $100 and live calls $70 to $150. You see the exact price on the reviewer's profile before you pay.
How many photos do I need on Match?
+
Match allows up to six photos and needs at least three, including one that clearly shows your face, before your profile is visible.
Can my Match profile appear on other apps?
+
If Match's Expanded Discovery & Interaction setting is on, your profile can appear on other Match Group apps. You can turn it off in your settings, and Match says it may not be available in every region.
Can I get my Hinge or OkCupid profile reviewed too?
+
Yes. RMH also reviews Hinge, OkCupid, Bumble, Tinder and other dating app profiles. Send screenshots of whichever profile you want reviewed.
