Comparison

Photo AI vs RMH: new photos, or a second opinion?

One makes photos of you with AI. The other tells you which of your real ones to use.

Photo AI trains an AI model on your selfies and generates new photos of you, on plans from $19 to $199 a month. RMH has a vetted reviewer go through the photos and prompts you already have and tell you which to keep, cut or re-shoot, from $20 a review. If you have no usable photos, the first helps. If you have photos and can’t tell which work, the second does.

When Photo AI makes sense

If you genuinely have no recent photos of yourself, generating some is faster than organizing a shoot. It’s also a cheap way to see yourself in a tux on a yacht, which is more than most of us will manage for real.

When a review makes more sense

Most people have usable photos and don’t know which ones. A reviewer tells you which to lead with, which repeat each other and which to re-shoot. In RMH’s 2026 Dating Profile Report, reviewers moved the first photo in 28% of reviews and recommended a re-shoot in 37%.

Real photos also hold up on the date. Hinge’s guide tells daters to “skip the AI-generated profile photos”, saying 88% of Hinge daters are uncomfortable with them (Hinge (opens in a new tab)). Bumble added a way to report AI-generated photos in 2024 (TechCrunch (opens in a new tab)), and Coffee Meets Bagel’s guidelines ban them (CMB (opens in a new tab)).

How to use both

If you do generate photos, have a person check them before you post. A reviewer will tell you whether they still look like you and whether they read as AI.
